I grew up in Karachi, Pakistan as a Pakistani American before moving to Connecticut where I studied Physics and Studio Art at Wesleyan University. I am currently in a Masters program at Boston University, studying Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Thermofluid Science and Energy, and I hope to eventually work in the field of energy and sustainability. Some of my interests include cats, plants, and bad horror movies.

Originally from Shenzhen, China, I immigrated to the United States when I was 12. Now, I identify as a first-generation Chinese American. After graduating from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Economics, I began doing both research and mental health work. For leisure, I spend much time watching TV, taking walks, and listening to podcasts; I am currently obsessed with Great Greek Myths and Hell’s Kitchen. I still listen to Yanni and have watched House M.D. five times.

I am a Chinese American adoptee interested in studying prejudice and discrimination as it relates to ethnic and intersectional identities. Starting in the fall of 2020, I will be attending Loyola University Chicago for a doctorate in applied social psychology. At Wesleyan University, I double majored in Classics and Psychology as an undergraduate, and later pursued a fifth year Master’s (BA/MA) in psychology. In my free time I enjoy playing racquet sports, trying new recipes, and traveling.

I was born and raised in China. In August 2015, I moved to San Francisco for my master’s degree in Social Entrepreneurship, and then worked in the startup world for three years after that.

In May 2019, I went on an RTW trip for 9 months in 25 countries.

I have a bias for action. I love outdoor activities, surfing, hiking, running. I’m also working on my own company— trying to be myself & make a change at the same time.

After growing up in Taiwan, I moved to the States for college where I attended Wesleyan University to study Psychology, Education, and Writing. Currently, I am a Ph.D student at New York University — my research focuses on the overlap of different social identities, the development of essentialist thought, and strategies to reduce stereotyping and bias in children. Outside of research, I bake, watch bunny videos, and attempt to be artistic.
